The design work involves pressure vessel design integrated with precision machined components in a wide variety of materials, both metallic and non metallic, natural or synthetic.
Tooling design will include special purpose equipment used in all stages of the manufacture, assembly and testing of a solid propellant rocket motor.
The duties would include concept meetings, 3D modelling concepts, design reviews, detail production drawings, liaison with manufacturers and on-site commissioning trials. The ideal candidate would also be able to manage the ProE installation at Roxel setting basic rules and guidelines for users, problem solving, monitoring ProE developments and advising.
Specific Requirements:
Working knowledge of Pro Engineer Wildfire 3 (Essential)
Working knowledge of PDM Link 9 or similar
Working within a defence related industry
National drafting standards

Technical Analyst required to work with engineering teams to coordinate entry of data into a strategic planning database. Will be required to train users, analyse cost data, conduct competitor research and help plan future stages of the tools and process.

Skills Required:
There will be extensive contact with engineering teams and the applicant must be confident in communicating with them on a technical level. Excellent communications skills are required and confidence in giving presentations. The position requires a lot of analysis of cost data, so the candidate must have very strong numeracy skills and be able to work quickly and accurately. Must also be able to work with minimum supervision, with the enthusiasm and drive to follow through and complete delivery. Must have strong skills with Microsoft Excel.

Skills Preferred:
Advanced Excel and/or programming skills.

Experience Required:
Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to work quickly and accurately.

Experience Preferred:
OEM or other automotive experience. Data analysis. Experience introducing change and/or new processes.

Education Required:
Degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics.

Additional Information:
It will be necessary to work at both Whitley and Gaydon sites, so a current Drivers Licence is required.
