The successful Maintenance Engineer will have the following:

- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate
- Solid understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
- Experience of Manual and CNC Machinery (Ideally Milling, Turning and Grinding)
- Able to work independently or part of a team

Our client is part of a global group who focuses on the supply of precision finished machined products for the Aerospace and Medical Sectors.  With 4 sites in the UK, this position of Quality Manager is based in Nuneaton and primarily focuses on finished parts for aero engine applications.

Primarily, the position is to:

• Quality Manager in a small Business unit that supplies machinedaerospace  products
• To chair Machining Quality Meetings including developing reporting and distribution of minutes
• To carry out monthly analysis of customer quality performance levels (Despatch, Returns and Internal Scrap) and taking the necessary actions to ensure objectives and targets are achieved
• To develop and adhere to a customer quality meeting schedule for agreed customers
• To review quality performance with customers and agree on any necessary actions
• To minute all quality meetings (internal and external)
• To carry out Internal Auditing to ensure all company procedures are being adhered to and raising the necessary paperwork and corrective actions
• To carry out any quality related task relevant to the product, customer or quality system
• To collate weekly quality figures as and when necessary
• To ensure maintenance and improvement of all the necessary ISO and Special Processes Certification within the company
• To ensure NADCAP approvals are maintained

The communication and working relationship within this position are:

• To work closely within the Aerospace business, with all personnel where applicable to ensure communication and continuous improvements (both personnel and working systems) in a professional and timely manner.
• To liaise with customers on all Quality related issues and participate in customer quality meeting both at the customer’s premises and at the manufacturing site
• To deal with Rolls Royce (Biggest customer) on all Quality related matters including SABRe requirements.

Qualification and Candidate requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of quality in aerospace with particular focus on machined products, NADCAP, and AS9100
• Suitable professional qualifications

Skills Required:
Must be proficient in Catia V5, Team center, Vismockup, MS Office applications.

Skills Preferred:
Familiarity with Engine development, working with multiple functions including: Manufacturing, Engineering, Vehicle teams, Program teams. Familiarity with GPDS and other OEM processes a benefit.

Experience Preferred:
Previous Powertrain experience preferred but not essential.

Education Preferred:
Degree in Engineering or related subject preferred.
