My client is one of the worlds largest utilities, focused on delivering energy safely, reliably and efficiently. They are currently looking to recruit a contract basis a Mechanical Technician to work in the Bishop Auckland and Teeside area. Working within the utilities, oil and gas or industrial sector you will need to have a strong Mechanical background and be qualified to a minimum of ONC level.

Working in a mobile capacity this position will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, reactive maintenance and installation works on mechanical equipment including gas and power turbines and gas compressors. Previous experience of Aero Derivate, Power Turbine and Centrifugal Process Gas Compressors is desired for the role.

You will need to demonstrate previous experience within the sector and should ideally be apprentice served. You will need to hold a full clean driving licence. The contract will initially run for 12 months but is likely to be ongoing due to the large amount of project work within the company. The position has a Limited Company rate of up to £25 per hour.
