An Infotainment Quality Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Warwickshire.
Description
Act as a key interface for the VFG group into the Infotainment area; including working with the team to address QSF's, WA's, CQI, Warranty Workstream '0' and JD power issues. Managing own tasks & suppliers tasks to achieve departmental quality targets. Working within the Vehicle Function Group, it is expected that the individual will work on the top expended warranty items identifying ways to reduce the warranty spend. This person will take the lead with Infotainment related commodities, identify issues using the quality toolset, focus to identify root cause and then look to eliminate the issue. It is also expected that a replicate activity will be undertaken to ensure that this issue is eliminated from all products and the processes are modified so that the issue can never re-occur.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Have an Electrical design/development background, ideally with a quality focus. Have a quality mindset and be familiar with quality tools (8D, AIMs, FMEA, SPC, 6 Sigma, etc). Be able to conduct theoretical evaluations but also be able to have a hands on approach.
Details
Experience Required:
Be a team player and have the ability to communicate complex issues. Ideally have ability to manipulate data in Excel and actively use pivot charts. Ideally be able to conduct searches in AWS. Create and update AIMs. Must have a driving licence and be able to support activity at all OEM facilities. Knowledge of infotainment commodities would be advantageous.
Education Required:
Degree educated, in electrical engineering/quality is preferable. However, relevant experience will be considered.
Additional Information:
To be located at Gaydon, however inter-site travel will be required.
