An IP Modelling Simulation Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Description
The Driver Information Team is responsible for developing some of the primary driver interfaces in OEM Vehicles. We need Engineers to work within a new Instrument Cluster platform team delivering into programmes across our client’s product range. In the position, you will be responsible for developing the functional modelling and simulation process and developing the specifications for these features to enable target hardware implementation. You will be working within a small team of Engineers and interfacing to a wider group of System Owners, HMI specialists, Subject Matter Experts, and Integration Engineers in order to deliver this vital work for our business.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
The right candidate must have the following skills; be a great team member, a flexible approach to project delivery, experience and capability of Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow functional modelling, an understanding of C/C++, a good ability to interpret functional requirements and apply an End User/Common Sense approach.

Skills Preferred:
Other useful skills in this role include; vehicle network (CAN) experience, and knowledge of GPU architecture version control systems.

Details
Experience Required:
It would be a significant advantage if the candidate has previous experience of working with high HMI systems. Automotive product development experience in Electrical Engineering is required.

Education Required:
Ideally the candidate should be educated to a degree level in a Software/Electronic/Electrical Engineering discipline.

Additional Information:
The role will initially be based at Whitley, but will move with the Team later on in 2012 to the Gaydon site.
