A Battery PMST Systems Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Warwickshire.
Description
Support the Battery PMST leader in programme delivery and supplier management. Requirements definition, including capturing and agreeing cascaded requirements from the industry, JLR vehicle attributes and systems teams. Work with the tier 1 supplier partner in the development of the xEV battery system according to programme technical, cost and timing targets. Support the develop a commodity development plan of the xHEV battery system. Complete the quality documentations, including boundary diagram, FMEA, quality history reviews, robustness checklist. Complete the hazard analysis and support the functional safety analysis. Develop the battery package that balances the cost and vehicle attributes targets.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Strong appreciation of vehicle systems and architectures. Experience in component engineering for automotive application with electrical background. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to resolve technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Experience in component robustness development essential. Problem investigation and problem solving. Confident communicator. Strong organisational skills.
Skills Preferred:
A high level of diligence and personal integrity. Ability to work within a team. Sound judgement.
Details
Experience Required:
Proven track record of developing complex electrical/electronics systems in an automotive or similar industry.
Experience Preferred:
Experience in delivery of GTDS and/or GPDS processes. Experience with WERS process. xEV component development experience.
Education Required:
Degree level qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering or closely related subject.
Education Preferred:
Post graduate degree is preferred, but not essential.
