An Electrical Launch Support Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
Electrical Launch support engineer - to support the Launch leader in investigating and chasing issues discovered during the pre-production builds. This will involve liaising with engineers back at Whitley and Gaydon to understand the issues and feed back to the manufacturing plant in a timely manner. The position will require a level of independent working and good communication skills are essential. Will require an element of flexible working as required.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Capable of working in a reactive and pressured environment where rapid turnaround of issues is required. Self motivated, good communication skills, ability to drive issues to resolution. Working knowledge of AIMS (problem management tool) would be preferable Knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical systems Experience of vehicle fault finding.
Skills Preferred:
Data collation, EXCEL spreadsheets, PowerPoint and presentation skills.

Experience Required:
Knowledge of whole vehicle electrical systems Consideration will be given to anyone who can demonstrate a sound auto electric background will relevant time served apprenticeship and qualifications.
Education Required:
Engineering Qualification.
Education Preferred:
Ideally degree qualified but not mandatory.
Additional Information:
May incur time at Browns Lane pilot plant or visits to Gaydon or Whitley if required.
