Based on a very attractive University campus, this Centre of Excellence is building on its growing reputation for Electric Vehicle (EV) development. It has plans to expand it operation and increase the number of talented Engineers and Specialists it employs, working on new projects incorporating cutting edge technologies. This growth has created an opportunity for a Electrical and Electronics Systems Integration Engineer to work on new EV projects. This role based in Coventry commutable from Birmingham, Warwick, Leicester, Gaydon, Milton Keynes, Leamington, Northampton, may also interest candidates in the Crewe area.
Main Tasks of the Job

• Derivation of vehicle system diagnostics strategies to implement the requirements from the system safety case as well as requirements from service and manufacturing.
• Validation of vehicle and systems diagnostic functions.
• Perform in-vehicle testing with respect to fault insertion and practical pin FMEA.
• Interface with manufacturing for electrical build support issues. HV, LV and CAN.
• Based in Coventry there will also be the opportunity to travel overseas to the parent company location on an occasional basis not exceeding 10% of working time.
  Candidate requirements.
• Degree or similar qualification and a minimum of 5 years Automotive industry experience.
• Have an understanding and appreciation of vehicle networking, particularly CAN. Including CANAlyzer, CANoe, INCA and other standard tools.
• Extensive experience of the development and validation of automotive ECU`s, Hybrid or EV experience would be an advantage.
• Knowledge and experience in developing electric motors and their controllers.
• Able to generate, manage and execute component delivery plans and be responsible for all aspects of documentation delivery.
