- Experience with automation equipment including robots (ABB, KUKA) and PLC's (any considered in a fault finding capacity)
- PPM/TPM experience working to TS and ISO standards
- Dual electrical and mechanical knowledge
- HNC/HND in Engineering

This 12 month contract for a manufacturing engineer will be based on a day's shift pattern with an early finish on a Friday, there will be an element of supplier liaison also. Position Description:
The Performance Economy Driveability team is a vehicle attribute team responsible for managing the delivery of performance, Fuel economy (CO2) and driveability attributes. Fuel Economy/CO2 Forecasting Analyst responsibilities are to:

• Fuel Economy and CO2 forecasting of individual vehicle derivatives based on agreed technology benefits, information within product assumptions and Cycle plan data for pre APC phase (currently out to 2022)
• Fuel Economy and CO2 forecasting of competitor vehicle derivatives based on agreed technology benefits and introduction timing.
• Maintenance and development of PED Vehicle Derivative Fuel Economy/CO2 database Quarterly release of OEM and Competitor vehicle derivative Fuel Economy and CO2 glide path reports.
• Support the generation of presentations, evidence data, submission packs and maintain key departmental CO2 forecast reporting documentation.
• Liaise with PED programme Leaders to ensure data alignment for advanced/delivery phases and key interfacing departments.

Responsible for gathering and analysing powertrain and vehicle functional requirements, and translating these into system and sub-system specifications. Manage interface with various suppliers from the target setting process through the design, verification, release and launch. Track warranty and field performance and manage on-going product development to support implementation of quality improvements and cost reductions when required Generate new, or maintain existing, test documentation that supports the functional verification of the system. Conduct and/or co-ordinate the DV test plan for the system.

Skills Required:
-Experience of work planning and project management techniques and the normal suite of engineering development tools (FMEA, DVP, 8D, etc.) are required.
-Be capable of working at a high level of proficiency without high levels of supervision.
-Good communications skills to enable design concepts to be shared with the CPMT, supply base, vehicle and engine program teams are essential.

Experience Preferred:
-Ideally experience in a Drivetrain engineering activity with experience of definition and development of hardware functionality is required.
