Process Engineer (Aerospace) – Hemel Hempstead – Upto £45k
Working for a truly international aerospace company with a new site developed in Hemel Hempstead, we are looking for a Process Engineer with a materials science background who can compile guidelines and process documentation based on IPC standards.
This is an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAV’s, satellites and ground and naval vehicles. Their customers include original equipment manufacturers that build aircraft and helicopters, engine manufacturers, and airlines, as well as defence agencies and contractors.
This role is to drive continuous improvements in quality, cost, delivery, and safety through the application of defined tools and assigns resources to
and monitors execution of new process introduction/redesign activities in support of business objectives.
Primary responsibilities:
- Participate in application of standard principles and working knowledge of related disciplines
- Demonstrate understanding of systems and processes
- Exercise judgment in solving problems while balancing technical and business requirements
- Drive structured problem solving with a focus on root cause corrective action
- Perform Process Engineering tasks for assigned products/processes
- Complete complex work which is subject to minimal review
- Review and approve documents prepared by others
- Interact with internal and external work groups to exchange information and resolve application problems of existing technologies.
Required:
- Excellent written, verbal skills, and interpersonal skills and ability to relate to customers and to all levels of an organization
- Engineering or Science Degree or equivalent, ideally with materials science knowledge
- Process Engineering experience
Business and technical acumen, and understand financial modelling - Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task amidst rapid change
- Strong bias for action with ability to produce results
