We offer you an opportunity to join a major international manufacturer of household-name domestic and industrial products. We seek an Electrical Development Engineer who will become an authority within the product engineering group on all electrical aspects of present and proposed products.

THE COMPANY:

We are based in Suffolk, the market leader in our industry in the UK and Europe and have responsibility for the design, engineering development and manufacture of a range of products for domestic and industrial use in the UK and abroad.

THE ROLE:

- Supports the Chief Electrical Engineer on all matters relating to the function of existing or proposed products.
- Contributes to the product introduction team particularly by the ownership of electrical component and product functional acceptability.
- Seeks out developments in motors and controls likely to enable improvements in the cost/performance of our products.
- Takes joint ownership within the Electrical Engineering function of the house-keeping, maintenance and extension of the electrical test facilities.

THE PERSON:

- Likely to be degree educated in Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical engineering and will bring at least 2 years design or development experience in high volume consumer products.
- Good written, oral communication, presentation and IT skills.
- Knowledge of series motors, controls and test instrumentation combined with project management skills will be an advantage.
