Williams Advanced Engineering, located at Williams F1 Headquarters in Oxfordshire, will provide Jaguar with a direct technology
transfer of their engineering expertise for the new Jaguar C-X75 hybrid supercar, they are now looking for a Release Coordinator Engineer. Reporting to the Powertrain Engineering Manager the candidate will be responsible for the coordinating, collating, managing & reporting out in all aspects, the
Propulsion function engineering database.
The Release Coordinator Engineer specific jobfunctions:
To ensure that the Propulsion BOM (Bill ofMaterials) is keep up to date, on a daily basis
Take responsibility & manage the Engineering Releasing (change management) activity for the Propulsion team through the development & test phases, working closely with the Engineers and other business areas
Liaise with all disciplines within the project team (primarily Engineering within Propulsion and external to, Programme, Purchase, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.) to ensure engineering data (eg. Part/Assembly structure, cost - Tooling/D&D/Piece, weight, etc.) is accurate
Collate latest data and ensure this is accurately reflected in all engineering database systems (either input directly, or through team membership)
Support Programme & Technical Review meetings, as required
Essential skills base:
Solid demonstration of experience & confidence in manipulation of complex database systems, using a number of industry/automotive standard tools, particularly through MS Excel
Ability to analyse complex databases and extract the right information from it, under constant time pressure
Ability to generating data and compiling concise summary status Reports (eg. MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word)
Candidate must be proactive and able to work on own initiative, remaining flexible at all times as they will be working in a fast
paced, motorsport biased development environment
Be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as good problem solving skills
Preferential competences:
The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification in engineering (or related), Business Systems and/or Project Management would
be a strength and demonstrate regular hands on use, or experience with Siemen's PLM 'Team Centre Engineering (TCE)' software package, would be at a distinct advantage.
Use of MS Access and/or MS Project packages would be beneficial, or other dedicated database/project software
Good understanding of high technology, engineering product design & development processes & procedures: other OEM /1st Tier Automotive industry experience would satisfy
