ETO Chassis project Engineer leading chassis commodity content for a complete vehicle programme, working in a small team within the "Engineered to order" chassis engineering team working on wheels and exhaust projects

Skills Required:
Project Manage engineering delivery from concept to production of chassis commodities and related products, working in a small team of 14 engineers based at Gaydon. Supporting PMST and PST meetings weekly, project managing and engineering all chassis commodities for a given programme for the full life of a vehicle delivery programme. Update and own engineering trackers for wheels and exhausts. Chassis products involved in will include wheels and exhaust. WERS releasing experience useful (not critical). Position will require an understanding of the product development process including FMEA"S, DVP generation, reviewing, checking and tracking supplier commodity plans, managing suppliers, ensuring testing is completed, organising tests, supporting pre-build events with related components and be the single point contact for a given programme for the Engineered to order (Special Vehicles) chassis engineering team. Able to read engineering drawing data and understand and use engineering standards and specifications.

Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of CAD Catia v5 would be useful. Digibuck knowledge an advantage.

Experience Required:
WERS releasing knowledge an advantage. Chassis engineering experience. Used to working to tight time lines. Good understanding of testing. DFMEA"s,engineering tools for product development and delivery. Good Excel user would be an advantage also.

Education Required:
Ideally Engineering degree level although other engineering qualifications are applicable based on experience. City and Guilds is a minimum requirement.

Additional Information:
May be required to attend meetings at other sites.
