Maintenance Technician

A leading pharmaceutical company require a contract Engineering Planned Maintenance Technician with specific skills at the highest level of engineering technology to support the engineering transformational change activities, providing an FMCG world class engineering function.
This role will develop a reduction of unplanned downtime through planned and preventive maintenance techniques and participate in engineering improvement forums to share knowledge and to agree a programme of improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Support the engineering transformational change activities.
Design and implement continuous improvement measures to increase plant performance and reduce engineering cost base of operations by waste identification to include energy, juice, materials/consumables and maintenance deliverables.
Interact with other departments to ensure the most efficient and cost effective way of meeting the production
Plan, maintain and service all line equipment to agreed schedules to ensure optimum performance of the product
Stream - Monitor line performance to pro-actively drive continuous improvement
Contribute to the achievement of World Class Manufacturing quality through quality system compliance and adherence.
Drive the health and safety culture to create a healthy and risk free working environment.
Commit to personal and team development through application of the PDP processes.
Work with minimal level of supervision
Data capture and input into site CMMs system

Specialised Knowledge:
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Knowledge of process control systems
Experience in Aseptic bottling and operations
Experience in Carbonated bottling operations
Knowledge of improvement techniques
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to effectively solve complex issues
Operational Excellence/Lean manufacturing
Basic computer skills and the willingness to embrace new technology
