Role
Responsible for developing sales and business development activities across the Automotive sector, covering a range of products and business models and targeting clients across a number of industry sectors (including OEM, supplier and consultancy areas)

Shared responsibility for creating the business development strategy, identifying target markets, customer and sales/product offerings.

Responsible for securing engagement at the appropriate levels, developing effective commercial and technical business relationships with the client, generating sales opportunities, securing key contracts, building the sales pipeline and growing revenues.

The role will include full account management responsibilities, also being the voice of the customer within the business and being responsible for submission of commercial/technical proposals for internal approval

Develop and maintain key strategic relationships through networking within governmental and commercial entities/trade bodies etc.

Take a leading role in the strategic direction and business planning for a particular market sector.

Key Account management of existing contracts to grow further existing customer relationships.
Representation on key industry and public sector/government/influencing bodies

Experience 

  • Proven track record in international business development/technical sales. 
  • Experience with creating commercial terms and converting them to legal contracts. 
  • Experience of significant, relevant B2B technology transactions (preferably in an automotive and/or high-technology area).


Skills 

  • Proven aptitude for business, particularly on the commercial side. Excellent interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication. 
  • Able to work independently and produce proposals and analyse complex problems and business cases. 
  • Able to originate deals and take them through to contract.
