Job description

A World Leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of diesel fuel injection equipment are now looking for an Engine Test Engineer to work on either a permanent or contract basis to support the development of the engine test cells to meet the specified requirements of the product development, calibration and electronics teams.

As the Test Engineer you will provide support to engineers using the facility and liaise with the project teams to improve test procedures and quality of data.

You will also be involved in the maintenance and development of test software and documentation and integration of new hardware into test systems.

The Test Engineer will ensure adherence to quality control standards, QS900, ISO1400 and TS16949

The successful candidate will hold a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent and be familiar with mechanical control systems including dynamometers and various software applications - AVL, PUMA, CAMEO, INDICOM.

Ideally you must have solid experience in a similar engine testing environment.

ADL experience desirable.

Must have excellent learning skills, willing to expand your skills base and to train others along wit h a genuine interest and enjoyment in engineering and resolving technical problems.

Apply FEA / Amesim / Fluent and other relevant numerical analysis tools for the design and optimisation of the product.
