Sales Engineer

£30k per year + bonus
Our client manufacturers material testing machinery for a range of industries and regularly sells over 80% of production to international markets. These testers are sold, calibrated, serviced and cared-for by a worldwide network of distributors chosen for their special skills in materials testing.
Reporting to the Managing Director the main purpose of this role is to maintain customer relationship carrying out regular visits to the export markets and manage profitable sales growth developing existing and new business. Working with and setting up overseas agents in India, China amongst other countries you will maintain and develop the relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain customer relationships
Set up, train and manage overseas agents
Provide effective sales forecasts
Identify opportunities and develop sales potentials
Develop existing and new business
To contribute to overall development of the companies business strategy and objectives
Attend exhibitions and carry out presentations
Profile:
HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical or Material Science Engineering
Considerable overseas selling experience
Experience dealing with overseas agents
Effective communicator at all levels with excellent interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills
Self motivated with good organisation and time management skills
You will be IT literate
Knowledge of German and French would be beneficial although not essential
Experience within a laboratory or testing background involved in calibration would be an advantage
Home Base in the Midlands would be beneficial
