Senior Development Engineer

Delphi Diesel Systems are a World leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for Senior Development Engineers to work on a permanent or contract basis.

As the DSenior Development Engineer the main duties will be drawn from the following:

Plan, organise and execute performance optimisation and performance validation tests, on rig, engine and vehicle determine design improvements to develop performance.

Development of prototype assembly processes / tools

Problem solving - apply a methodical and logical approach to problem solving based on fundamental engineering principals.

Debug unexpected product behaviour and root cause analysis of failures. Devise product changes to resolve performance issues.

Reporting prepare formal written reports, summary reports and presentations to keep the team informed of status.

Contribution towards formal gate reviews.

Participate in design reviews, DFM, DFMEA workshops, product specification definition.

Specify and develop performance test facilities including test protocols

Participate in team orientated activities engage support from outside of the team where necessary to ensure team objectives are met.

Cross functional communication

As the Development Engineer you will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Post graduate experience in one of the following areas:

automotive component engineering, design and development, or engine calibration


Excellent communication skills are essential.

As the Development Engineer you will need to be able to communicate via reports, memos and presentations for which the applicant will need to be proficient in use of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Must be data driven not just opinion based.
