Chassis Design Manager for Next Generation Luxury Cars

£30 per hour
Chassis Design Manager for next generation luxury car brake stability control systems. Responsibilities will include: Lead early programme planning and supplier selection process, Co-ordinate with the Vehicle Programme Team, suppliers and Applications teams to formulate acceptable hardware, software and tune delivery timing, Co-ordinate the Stability Control Systems (SCS) plans and activities with our Electrical Engineering partners, Manage relationship with the SCS Supplier with respect to system delivery to timing and performance targets, Lead the cross functional activities that support the system Deliverables, Co-ordinate Design and component validation work to produce acceptable packages and installations that meet vehicle and system targets.
Skills Required:
Vehicle or chassis or brake system design/integration/management is a major requirement of this role. The successful candidate must possess the following skills/qualifications:
- Experience of Project Management of complex multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
- Ability to communicate confidently at all levels within the business and the supply base.
- Experience of engineering complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
- Understanding of automotive Chassis, Braking systems and Stability Control Systems.
- Confident in the application of GPDS, DVP and Engineering Gateway disciplines.
- Confident in the application of FTEP quality and reliability disciplines, particularly FMEA.
- Candidates must be committed, flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Good PC skills and must be IT literate.
- High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
- Good meeting, leadership, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
Skills Preferred:
Experience of having delivered systems with a high level of complexity and interfaces on new model activities from concept through to launch.
Experience Required:
Experience of delivering electro-mechanical systems.Vehicle or chassis or brake system design/integration/management is a major requirement of this role.
Education Required:
Candidates applying must be educated to degree level in a relevant engineering or engineering management discipline.
