Electrical HMI and Ergonomics Engineer

£30.20 - 30.20 per hour
The position is for a HMI and ergonomic engineer to support delivery of new electrical technologies into OEM vehicle-lines. This includes HMI design for switchgear, instrument cluster display, centre console display, audio etc. The electrical technologies will support a range of first-to-market and first-to-brand features that this OEM will be integrating into its vehicle lines over the coming years. The position will require close working relationship with Research and Electrical Engineering.
Skills Required:
- Sound understanding of good HMI and ergonomic design principles for vehicle systems user-interfaces.
- Statistical analysis, problem solving and root-cause analysis.
- Clear and concise communicator.
- Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard
- Ideal candidate should be an enthusiastic, forward looking, lateral thinker with proven creative, research and innovation skills in the field of Ergonomics and Human Machine Interface
- Knowledge of in-vehicle Ergonomics issues and appropriate HMI proposals
Experience Required:
- Development of physical, audible and visual interfaces such as graphical user interface or switch gear and controls
- Development of Human machine interface for a consumer product or application.
Education Required:
Human Factors / Ergonomics Degree
