We require an Integration and Systems Validation Engineer to undertake a full range of Integration and System Validation activities within the ISV skill area, supplying specialist advice and support across the department and projects as appropriate.

Duties include:
Trials Planning: Designing and planning trials including Air Carry Trials and Live Firing Trials to ensure that data is obtained from the trial
Trials Conduct: the conduct of trials activities such as Environmental trials, EMC/EMP trials, HWIL, Safety trials on live ordnance, Flight Trials and Live Firing Trials in both UK and overseas locations.
Trials data gathering, analysis and reporting.
Platform Integration: Integration of products onto the candidate platform including aircraft, ships and land vehicles
The design of specialist instrumentation, special to type Test Equipment, facility modification and facilities.
The conduct of lab based compatibility activities.
Missile preparation and test including live build activities.
Design Certification. Production of Design Verification Plans and Certificates of Design.
Lead engineering activities in the field for various products for customers to demonstrate system operability.
Leading demonstrations and customer acceptance trials on complex weapon systems.
Prepare trials and integration documentation at all stages of a project life cycle.
Carry out investigations into a full range of engineering problems and develop and prepare solutions, individually or as part of a team
Define testing approaches and specify tests in assigned / specialist areas

An appropriate Engineering Degree or Masters (or equivalent) OR HNC/HND level (or equivalent).
Experience of working in one of the following environments:
System Integration, Design Proving and Trials, Aircraft Integration, Naval Integration, Ground/Land Integration, Missile Test, Interface Design, System assessment and acceptance, Design Verification, Electrical / mechanical construction and interfacing, Electronic design/test.

You will able to communicate with a wide range of internal customers at both engineering and management levels. Able to communicate with sub contractors / partners/ suppliers at both engineering and management levels. Ability to and experience of generation of data and planning from a mixed set of data sources. Have good planning capabilities. Have good verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Have practical knowledge of basic systems engineering principles and processes. Be pro-active and be capable of working on their own initiative with a minimum of supervision.
