VAC REQ :For this role, you will have proven industry experience with the following:
Demonstrated technical experience and expertise in non-linear analysis methods preferably using ABAQUS/Standard or Marc. Non-linear modelling of materials (preferably elastomers, polymers, plastics etc), contact and geometrical nonlinearities. Anisotropic modelling of composites or secondary reinforced materials. Structural modelling and sub-modelling, use of global local modelling. Modelling of cracks, fracture and fatigue. A good degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. A high standard of English, both written and verbal.

In addition, the following would be desirable: Knowledge of the non-linear material properties of elastomeric materials. Demonstrated expertise in the validation of non-linear finite element models and methods using correlation with test data. Knowledge of a programming language such as Fortran and Python.
