Manufacturing Engineer-Automotive 1st Tier-HNC Essential

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in the automotive environment.
This firm has been established in the UK for almost 30 years and are looking to maintain and bolster its position with this appointment; a challenging but collaborative environment with a complex, technically innovative product for some of the largest and most successful automotive OEMs in the world.
A hands on and fast paced role working for a Tier 1 supplier, your role will develop working methods for production whilst utilising lean experience to maximise efficiency and production. You must have demonstrable experience of doing performing the basics right; an understanding of 5S, waste reduction and demonstrable examples of reducing cycle or production times, increasing efficiency and manipulating processes all whilst adhering to KPI’s.
The role starts from design stage through BOM and then creating and reviewing FMEA’s, all with a view of optimising performance and reducing cost to the firm. It’s a role that works out of an office and on the shopfloor; probably about 70% of your time will be on the shopfloor.
HNC educated is an essential criteria (we cannot process an application without this level as a minimum), apprentice, mechanical engineering qualifications would be highly advantageous.
