Technical Buyer - Procurement Officer - Automotive - Oxfordshire - £Rate Neg

A Technical Buyer / Procurement Officer is required for an initial 6 month rolling contract to join one of the Worlds most iconic brands in motorsport at their site in Grove, Oxfordshire.
The successful candidate will be required to ensure goods and services are purchased from appropriate sources on a value for money basis against favourable terms and delivered in accordance with the needs of the business.

Responsibilities include:
Supplier selection, contract negotiation, quality of components and expediting of deliveries.
Work with the engineering leads to forge and develop a creative environment to achieve the very best overall technical and commercial solutions for the project.
Work in conjunction with the quality department and engineering to ensure that all quality expectations are clearly understood and in place, including all associated documentation and approvals.
Able to clearly find the balance in the total cost picture for low volume programmes including the consideration of design and development, tooling and BOM piece price to maximise and manage cash flow.

Ideally you will have experience with Body Exterior and / or Interior especially with carbon fibre structures would be a distinct advantage.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery and cost.
Work with logistics and stores team to ensure a smooth, efficient and effective supply chain.
