Automation (Controls) Engineer

Our client is one of the leading steel providers to the automotive industry worldwide, with its UK operations supplying to some of the industry's leading OEM's including JaguarLandrover, BMW and Nissan.
Due to substantial company growth and investment our client is recruiting across all engineering disciplines and is actively looking to employ an Automation (Controls) Engineer. This is a permanent position that can offer a competitive salary and on-going career development.
This role will be responsible for the modification of machine programs to suit current and new equipment on site. Working closely with Process and Maintenance Engineers you will be supporting the on-going Continuous Improvement within the Business whilst training staff in Robotics and PLC's. There will also be the facility to set up a training centre.
We are looking for a person with strong programming experience with Siemens S5 or S7, Allen Bradley PLC, ABB S4 Robotics or Profibus. You will have AutoCAD knowledge to work alongside Process Improvement planning and ideally some Project Management/Supervisory level experience to support other engineers.
