We seek a IT Technology Analyst for an initial 12-month contract based in Shrewsbury.

THE COMPANY:

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Services is located in Shrewsbury (Shropshire). Using a host of remanufacturing technologies, the facility receives engines and a range of other components from customers and cleans, refurbishes, reassembles and updates them in line with the exacting standards set by Caterpillar.

THE ROLE:

As IT Technology Analyst, your primary responsibility of the role includes:
1) Managing the Redhat Linux scripting, progress Openedge v10 DBA, Tomcat administration
2) Produce MFG/PRO reports and enhancement using the Progress openedge v 10 4GL development as part of the Mfg/PRO Centre of Excellence.
3) Perform data CIM loads
4) Project Management for Business Unit Pull programs primarily, but not limited to MFG/PRO reporting but also supporting any transformation projects which meet the strategic direction.
5) Provide day to day systems support and consultation to meet continuous improvement as defined by our Business and GIS process partners.

The role requires the execution of Incident Management, IT service continuity, risk analysis and change management in conjunction with Caterpillar processes and procedures. This will require the candidate to develop strong relationships with the appropriate matrix teams across Caterpillar leveraging support and solution as appropriate.

Candidates should be prepared to travel estimated at 15%.
