A Power Supply Systems engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.
Power Supply Systems is an Electrical Engineering-based team responsible for cross brand delivery of Intelligent Power Systems Management (IPSM), appropriate control strategies and supporting commodity solutions. These commodities include:
- Alternators
- Starter motors
- Batteries
- Battery monitoring systems
- DC/DC converters
The Power Supply Systems Engineer is responsible for implementation of appropriate Power Supply Systems solutions, including development of specifications, models, validation/testing and sign-off reports.
Skills Required:
Good understanding of automotive electrical architecture and associated systems. High level of personal motivation and drive. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, data and conclusions to a wide audience.
Skills Preferred:
Ability to negotiate with other functions to achieve objectives. Project planning and task organisation.
Experience Required:
Experience of using development tools, e.g. Canalyser, INCA etc. Use of industry standard systems modelling toolset, MATLAB, Simulink etc.
Education Required:
Ideally educated to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.
