Ensure alignment between Electrical Engineering and Programmes Team. Ensure team priorities are established to deliver project deliverables. Coordinate the resolution of critical concerns to ensure closure. Coordinate change management activities for electrical parts in support of programme timing objectives. Promote use of problem solving tools as appropriate. Ensure targets cascaded from the programme to Electrical Engineering are appropriate to required content and achievable - cost, investment, weight. Ensure facilities/vehicles are available to allow completion of requested design validation work. Co-ordinate BOM validation exercises and the tracking of component part releasing. Clarify requirements to succeed through clear interpretation of deliverables to Module Leaders and component engineers. Support consistent Project Reviews and Senior Escalation reviews to a set format. Weekly publication of programme status sheet, updates of project management tracking tools as required. Co-ordination and tracking of validation plan status for engineering sign off reporting. Support the Programme Leader in leading the Electrical team.

Skills Required:
Knowledge and understanding of whole vehicle electrical systems. Ability to lead the resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment. Self motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation. Ability to assimilate large quantities of data. Capable of working in a reactive and pressured environment where rapid turnaround of issues is expected. Knowledge of Quality/Problem Solving Tools. Experience in developing new processes and procedures to improve quality and delivery. Flexibility to work across multiple project sites as required. Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS office. Excellent presentation skills. Full driving Licence. Proven ability to influence and/or manage people. Experience in project management, process improvement and strategy development. Candidate must have a record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting deadlines. Educated to degree level Managing and leveraging maximum support from the Manufacturing team and Supply base to achieve programme objectives. An ability to work independently and to prioritise.

Experience Required:
Experience of working in an automotive or product development environment.

Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with OEM PD processes and systems is preferable. A knowledge of GPDS, GPDS or PCS preferable.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level.

Additional Information:
This role is based primarily at the Product Development Centre at Gaydon but in the near term will also be based at the PD Centre at Whitley, Coventry. Occasionally there will be a requirement to support programme activities at the manufacturing site at Halewood, Merseyside. This is a 40 hour a week contract with a 3:30pm finish on a Friday.
