Working with the technician team and functional groups you will help build an effective and efficient service to provide technician and workshop resource to the product groups. This will include:
- Resource deployment planning and control
- Management and development of workshops
- Implementation of corporate and Group H+S, Quality and Environmental processes
- Support PBandO manager with cost control and reporting for management review

Key functions of the role include:
- Working with the technician teams, effectively manage the deployment of appropriate resources in support of the Product Group activities. This will include:
o Resource planning and tracking
o Advise management of headcount and on permanent/contractor ratio to PBandO Manager
o Performance review and feedback
o Support training and development plans with PBandO Manager
o Development of team flexibility (broaden skills sets)
- Support development and implementation of technical capability roadmaps to include skills, tools, techniques and processes.
- Support the development of the technician team
- Ensure corporate and Group processes and responsibilities are followed for Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental
- Help drive the on-going review and implementation of revised working practices to ensure the most effective support of programmes going forward
- Tight control of non-chargeable time including internal projects - target to allocate and track benefit of expenditure with the PBandO manager in these areas.
- Identify future resource requirements and support the PBandO manager in developing business cases for investment, e.g. new software or hardware
