Mainly, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are in place and updated
  • To audit the system for compliance
  • To carry out investigations into all accidents and near misses
  • To document the performance of the HSE Systems on a regular basis and report to Senior Management
  • To control the physical waste and implement waste reduction programmes on site including arranging for collection and disposal, in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Set up and conduct all types of EMC test within the scope of the laboratory
  • Follow test specifications and plans, and take responsibility for the accurate recording of results
  • Check and calibrate equipment and test chambers
  • Supervise and assist customers in operating their equipment in the laboratory
  • Maintain log books, collate test data and produce technical reports.

What we are looking for

  • Degree or HNC/HND in electronics or physics, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in setting up and conducting EMC tests
  • EMC/RF experience in the context of testing
  • A good understanding of RF measurement principles and modern test and control instrumentation
  • Evidence of automotive or aerospace products/systems, preferably from working within one of those industries.
  • Knowledge/experience of quality systems, preferably UKAS
  • Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure
  • Ability to produce clear and accurate reports
  • Willingness to work overtime and shift patterns when necessary

seeking a talented manufacturing Engineer to join its team.  You will be working in one of the most
advanced precision machine shops available in an unsurpassed facility.  The machines are 5 axis precision machining
stations running FANUC and Heidenhain controls. 
You will be responsible for programming production machines that will
cut ferrous, nonferrous and exotic al alloys. 
You will select CNC machining processes and tooling as well as speeds
and feeds.  In addition you will be
responsible for designing some jigs and fixtures.

The role is an continuous contract, probably signed of in 3
month intervals and is all day shift.  A
standard day is 8.5 hrs long (42.5hr week)

What we’re looking for:

Essential

  • Qualified to a minimum of HNC level (may
    consider ONC with longer experience) but able to demonstrate extensive (8 years
    or greater) experience on 5-axis programming for high precision parts (aerospace,
    motorsport, defence, race, possibly  automotive).  Any CAD/CAM system is acceptable as training
    will be given to the right candidate
  • Able to read a manufacturing drawing and propose
    the most efficient way of machining it; identify complex features and arrive at
    an operation sequence (process planning)
  • Experience of designing simple jigs and fixtures
    on CAD (any 3D system)
  • Own transport

Desirable:

  • Experience in motorsport or aerospace
  • Recent usage on Openmind Hypermill
  • Recent usage on CATIA for design
  • Non-ferrous cutting experience (aluminium,
    titanium, magnesium alloys)

- Track and evaluate project performance to the agreed milestones, metrics and cost
- Support bid and quote activities
- Ensure TRW business standards for design and development and quality processes are implemented and met
- Analyse production line data to validate requirements and help drive improvements to quality and yield

What we are looking for

Essential:

- Educated to degree standard in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline

A leading UK Water company is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Technician with High Voltage expertise to support, maintain and operate Wastewater services assets across the East Midlands. The provision of HV/LV technical skills is essential in ensuring electrical work is carried out safely and successfully on Capital Schemes. It is expected that the Senior Electrical Technician will be a Senior Authorised Person and also be able to deliver training and mentoring to regional teams.

Key Accountabilities
- Supervision of the annual HV contractor maintenance plan, and carrying our relevant switching arrangements and generator provision
- Trouble-shooting of HV electrical issues and support to LV teams where necessary
- Management and sign-off of electrical safety documentation, as well as close liaison with contractors
- Inspection and operation of HV switchgear
- Ensure new electrical installations are compliant to the relevant standards

Applicants must be an HV Senior Authorised Person, possess comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, be conversant in DESEAR and COMPEX, and ideally have previous experience of managing contractors and suppliers. As Mechanical Supervisor, you will control all site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time and cost allowances without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end product, ensuring good customer satisfaction.

You will have responsibility for:
- Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors,
- Ensure that all relevant HSandE documents are correctly recorded when received and that they are the latest version,
- Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out,
- Produce and distribute Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan,
- Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions,
- Record the progress of the works on record drawings or other suitable means when required,
- Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation where required by the Construction Management Plans (CMP),
- Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required in the CMP,
- Carry out regular checks on survey and test equipment where required in the CMP,
- Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works.
