Our client is a world-leader in the provision of project management, technical engineering and construction services to the Water industry, on programs ranging from Water Supply, Treatment and Storage to Water Resources Management and Coastal Restoration. They are currently looking to appoint a Mechanical Supervisor in north London on a 6-month contract basis.

As Mechanical Supervisor, you will control all site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time and cost allowances without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality end product, ensuring good customer satisfaction.

You will have responsibility for:
- Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors,
- Ensure that all relevant HSandE documents are correctly recorded when received and that they are the latest version,
- Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out,
- Produce and distribute Method Statements and Work Instructions as required by the Project Execution Plan,
- Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Work Instructions,
- Record the progress of the works on record drawings or other suitable means when required,
- Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation where required by the Construction Management Plans (CMP),
- Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required in the CMP,
- Carry out regular checks on survey and test equipment where required in the CMP,
- Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience of working in the Water and Wastewater industry plus:
- HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
- SMSTS
- Confined spaces training qualifications.
- Experience in pipework installation.

The contract rates on offer is £30-£40/hr depending on experience.
