Are you an engine (CAE/NVH ) specialist that is able to add value across an organisation? Skills will include conceptual design, prototype, test & development, validation through to manufacturing. You will use systems such as MatLab, StarCD, FLUENT, Nastran & Abacus.

Key skills sought:

• Engineering software knowledge in MatLab, StarCD, FLUENT, Nastran & Abacus
• Thermal & Mechanical stress analysis of Engine design from component level
• Supplier liaison and problem rectification
• Experience and capability dealing with Engine & Body structures using CAE and NVH tools
• Business and Engineering Dept. cost management
• FE software experience (ie: AVL Cruise, Excel) & LMS simulation

Ideally CAE and NVH candidates will already possess a mechanical engineering or related Degree, and are likely to possess an MSc in another closely related discipline. You must have experience with ideally MatLab, StarCD, FLUENT, Nastran & Abacus. They are also probably chartered, or well on the way to being so. Applicants must possess a UK Driving Licence and be legally eligible to work in the UK.

Our client is a vehicle OEM that focuses on the passenger, light and medium vehicle sector, with a UK Technical Centre and supporting Test and R&D facilities situated across the central UK Midlands. These are easily accessed from the motorway and rail network, the job will be based at the main technical facility, but include travelling as projects and workload demand in the UK and overseas.
