Software Engineer C/MatLab/Simulink - West Mids - to £45k

£35k - 45k per year + benefits
A Senior Engineer – with experience of Matlab, Simulink and C programming and a background in developing transmission control software in both conventional and novel transmission systems is required for a role with a passenger vehicle design and manufacturing organisation based in the West Midlands. Core tools are C/Matlab/Simulink.
This role will join a growing team you will possess an in-depth knowledge in embedded software analysis, coding and design, and have already developed control software in a similar environment.
Key skills sought:
- Experience of rig and vehicle based testing
- Matlab and Simulink modelling
- MiL and SiL Testing
- Direct experience in developing transmissions control software (coding in C)
- Cross functional Teamwork and communication
- MISRA safety standards and industry (ISO26262) quality systems
Matlab, Simulink and C programming are essential skills. The job will also involve travelling to other company locations so a UK Driving Licence is essential, as is eligibility to work in the UK. Preferences will be given to those applicants that are also able to evidence the ability to mentor younger Engineers both in the UK and overseas.
