A Hybrid Electrical Vehicle Engineer is required to support a major new development within a market leading design/manufacture of high end luxury/SUV/off-road vehicles based in the West Midlands
This role is part of an exciting new expansion of the Electric Vehicles Division to meet increasing demands with the launch of future models within the Hybrid Vehicles division

Your role will be to :

- Develop the Hybrid Vehicle Electrical Distribution System including charging cable for new Electrical Vehicles (xEV).
- Key tasks for the team include: - programme delivery and supplier management
- Requirements definition, including capturing and agreeing cascaded requirements from the industry
- Work with the tier 1 supplier partner in the development and validation of the xEV HV EDS according to programme technical, cost and timing targets
- Complete the quality deliverables, robustness checklist and derive critical design and manufacturing actions from them
- Complete the hazard analysis and support the functional safety analysis
- ork with tier 1 harness supplier to develop the HV EDS package that balances the cost and vehicle attributes targets.
- Support the report out project status to project leaders and senior managements at key milestones."
Skills Required:

- Proven track record of developing EDS systems and/or components
- Strong appreciation of vehicle systems and architectures.
- Experience in component engineering for automotive application with EDS background
- Demonstrable ability to resolve technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.
- Experience in robust component engineering development essential.
- Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering Skills. 6 Sigma green belt or black belt experience."
You will be Degree level qualified in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering or closely related subject
