TRW Automotive Electronics is the world-leading developer of Driver Assist Systems technology who are growing their Radar and Camera development teams as vehicle manufacturers move their focus to safety systems to meet upcoming legislation.

We are looking for an experienced Requirements Engineer with experience of a software or electronics environment who will drive improvements throughout the development teams. This person will need to make a step change in the way requirements and traceability are managed and so needs to be able to influence and have gravitas rather than be passive.

The ideal candidate will be happy liaising with customers, influencing engineers on multiple sites in multiple countries as well as inputting and managing data in the requirements tool. The role is primarily based in Solihull, but with some national travel. You will also be expected to travel to the US approx 2/3 times per year for a couple of days.


What you'll do

- Drive and improve the requirements process within DAS
- Work closely with DAS engineers, sales, and production engineers on multiple sites.
- Manage the requirements data to drive consistency across projects
- Input, collate and review requirements
- Liaise with customer to discuss specific issues on requirements
- Create reports and metrics
- Provide support to team in the use of the requirements tool.

What we are looking for

Essential:
- Degree in Software or Electronics Engineering
- Have worked in electronics development
- Have worked in a global engineering organisation, in systems, software or electronics engineering
- Significant experience with a requirements tool (e.g. DOORS and DXL), including setting up and customising
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of change management
- Experience of working in an international environment

Desirable:
- German or French language skills
- Willingness to travel abroad occasionally
- Knowledge of ISO26262, SPICE and 'V' cycle,
