Working on the most modern civil aircraft in the world, A350, our Global client is looking for a Composite Design Engineer who will be responsible for the design of fibre-reinforced composite components and sub-assemblies for this aircrafts wing fixed trailing edge. Primarily working as part of a team, you will be required to design fibre-reinforced composite components and sub-assemblies which ensure structural
integrity of an airframe product.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Optimise design solutions to meet customer and internal design requirements
  • Responsible for the delivery of design schemes, 3D models and detail drawings in accordance with the project schedule and allocated budget, throughout the product development process

You will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating all safety activity on the vehicle i.e. restraints and airbags. What you'll do:

As Safety Integration Engineer you will be responsible for the following activity on seat belts and airbags:

- Delivering the Vehicle Safety attributes.
- Ensuring the vehicle meets the internal targets and external legal requirements.
- Developing, planning and delivering the design verification plan including legal witness tests.
- Target setting and cascading to other departments vehicle safety requirements.
- Input into vehicle design to meet the safety requirements.
- Design and implementation of component tests.
- Analysis of CAE and test data (sensor traces and high-speed film).
- Reporting to management.
- Working with fitters and mechanics.

What you'll need
