An HV Design Engineer is required by a leading Water Treatment company to prepare, develop and check electrical designs to suit contract requirements.
The HV Design Engineer primarily involves the design of HV systems associated with 11kV generating plant (10 - 15 MW), including specific technical activities related to export, island operation and G75 regulation.
As HV Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the activities concerning the technical elements of the contract, primarily for the 11kV element of the projects.
Design calculations and protection studies
- Technical documents approval
- Knowledge of UK practices and power distribution regulations
- Ensure supplier equipment complies with the clients specifications
Applicants must be:
- Qualified in Electrical Engineering, ideally to degree level (or equivalent) and with Chartered status or HND with relevant experience.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Be results focussed
