Principal Design Engineer
Bristol/Gloucester/Cheltenham

SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER- AEROSPACE STRUCTURES-
BRISTOL-£EXCELLENT PACKAGE.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Design the Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the technical quality of the work performed by the Design Centre.
The Senior engineer will also support winning new business and ensure all bids and proposals are properly compiled reviewed and approved for release to the customer. The successful candidate will also act as SIGNATORY for key design documentation such as technical specifications proposals and where required drawings.
The role will also involve working to establish "best practice" principles within the Design Function as part of the European Engineering Organisation. Working with a small team and acting as mentor to junior engineers and providing coaching to allow them to become signatories in the future.
Experience Required:
A strong Aerospace backgroung in primary aircraft structures relevant aerospace industry experience. Looking for a degree level or HND equivalent qualification with knowledge of design tolls and an understanding of modern manufacturing techniques, procurement and assembly constraints.
