Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of Aerostructures for both the Civil and Military Aerospace markets, and they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Stress Engineer in Southampton.
The Stress Engineer will provide technical expertise within the engineering design team, providing stress analysis and developing fully optimised solutions whilst maintaining integrity of the product as the highest priority. They will support on-going continuous improvement initiatives throughout the design process, and offer technical assistance to resolve manufacturing-related problems.
Candidates must be educated to Degree level in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering and possess extensive experience in either aerospace or automotive stress analysis. They will have the ability to accurately assess problems and challenges in a dynamic engineering environment whilst ensuring the highest possible standards, and have a strong working knowledge of analysis tools such as Mechanica, Ansys and Matlab, in addition to other MS Office applications.
