Application Engineer - Automotive - Basildon - £Neg

An Application Engineer with powertrain experience is required for Essex based company and due to a need to grow the team, we are seeking candidates from Application Engineers or Development Engineers who are looking for a more client focused technical role.
You will be first level support to the customer regarding all questions regarding component integration.
It is highly desirable that you have a working knowledge of powertrain and vehicle systems simulation. Having previous experience in a client facing role would be an advantage, however if you feel you have the presence, character and drive to succeed then this will also be of great use.

•Educated to Degree level within Mechanical Engineering, or relevant alternative
•Recent relevant industrial experience is essential
•Experience in mechanical design in automotive applications
•Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engine
•Powertrain and vehicle system simulation desirable
•Experience in use of CCP compliant calibration tools (e.g. ATI Vision) desirable
•Ability & willingness to travel
