Our client a global Automotive vehicle OEM has created a new vacancy designed to support their Automotive Technology development Dept whose focus is to develop programs for driver information systems.

The role will be based in their Advanced Engineering Dept. They are looking for individuals who will be developing ideas for Driver Information Systems for use in Models planned for 2020 and beyond, as such these positions will be responsible for the organisations Future Technologies. Their goal is to build and create highly advanced vehicle systems and products (eg: Head-Up displays and Instrument clusters) and to provide the Driver with a array of cutting edge, interactive services including passenger entertainment.
Our client envisages the post as a 50/50 divide into:

1. Domain experience.

2. Tools and Techniques (highlighted in the skills below).

Skills required:

-DOORS and Rhapsody.
-UML / SYSML.
-MOST, Ethernet, CAN, USB.
-Driver Information Systems domain knowledge.
-Model Based Development, Linux.

Domain knowledge is sought from the following industries: Automotive, Aerospace, Rail and Telecommunications.

Our client will also consider Engineers with extensive tool experience mentioned above, or someone with a wealth of experience within these specific domains. 
 
Applicant profile:

A minumum of 5 years Automotive industry experience is sought in (BEng/MSc) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, within vehicle/aerospace RandD network bus communication environments.

Excellent communication skills and possessing the ability to mentor and develop junior Engineers in the UK and worldwide.

Possess the ability to specify vehicle systems and define the design, test and development lifecycle.
