We seek a IT (Windows) Analyst for an initial 12-month contract based in Leicester.

THE COMPANY:

Caterpillar Building Construction Products (BCP) is located in Desford (Leicestershire). This site is dedicated to the assembly of small construction machines, typically used on building and construction sites. These include Backhoe Loaders, Small Wheel Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders.

THE ROLE:

As IT (Windows) Analyst, you will be responsible to foster the company's Windows 2008 Server deployment across EAME. This includes analysis, implementation, migration, documentation, and reporting associated with these systems and their surrounding processes. This individual must be able to successfully function in an environment where quality and efficiency are expected. This individual may have to work off-shift and week-end, time to time, when needed to help Caterpillar's business partner to successfully migrate to their new environment. We will try to minimize as much as possible these out of business hours implementation. As this role is EAME wide, some travel may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deploy Windows 2008 Servers in EAME following corporate procedure and standards
- Support the migration process of the different business partner.
- Interact with business partners to define requirements, develop and deliver solutions
- Follow established working plan
- Follow up with business partner for post migration

Along with the following qualifications, skills and experience required for the position:
Essential -
- Experience managing Windows Server environment
- Experience in multi-sites, large company and field offices.
- This position also requires knowledge of and demonstrated experience in:
o Windows Operating System configuration and administration
o Complex problem troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills that can occur during migration
o Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
o Familiarity with the principles of ITIL/ITSM Supported by Remedy.
o Microsoft certified or equivalent work experience working on Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008

- VMware
