A Chassis Control System Software Engineer is required to work on contract for our client who specialise in luxury cars, the position will be based in the West Midlands.

The role is for a software systems engineer to support delivery and validation of diagnostics and low level software functions for chassis control system ECUs. Tasks include:
- Producing and maintaining delivery plans for ECU diagnostics and low level software functionality across multiple vehicle lines.
- Regular interfacing with the in-house software development team, integration team and diagnostics team to ensure timely delivery of software functionality and validation activities, according to programme gateways and requirements.
- Performing validation of diagnostics and low level software functionality, including associated status reporting.
- Manage timely investigation and closure of problems, including appropriate escalation of issues.
- Support development of test automation to enhance future validation activities.

Skills Required:
Detailed knowledge of automotive diagnostics protocols including ISO14229, CANbus operation and Vector CANalyser. Software and ECU test techniques and test automation, including HIL testing (dSpace). Strong project management and communication skills essential.

Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of Vector CANape. Software development skills, such as C/Simulink/Targetlink, advantageous but not essential.

Experience Required:
Knowledge of the full engineering development "V Cycle".

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of OEM systems and processes would be advantageous, but not essential. Experience of low level microprocessor operation and driver development, also advantageous but not essential.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.

Additional Information:
Initially based at Whitley, but relocating to Gaydon. Must be eligible to work within the UK without sponsorship.
