Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
They are currently seeking to recruit a Principal Engineer - CAD Interior Trim. This role will be based at their site in Warwick. Reporting to the Chief Engineer - Interior Trim, the individual will be responsible for the following:
- Feasibility and detail design (3D Modelling) engineering of Trunk Trim System components.
- Maintaining master section book.
- Development of concepts to solve issues prior to engineering release
- Performing DMU checks using Catia and VizMockup.
- Maintenance and release of Trunk Trim system within PLM
- All design work carried out on V5.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree qualified or similar qualification
- Minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.
- Strong numeracy and literacy
- Detailed knowledge and experience of bumper systems and underbody protection systems eg undertrays, heat shields, wheel arch liners
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge in variety of production and prototype manufacturing methods.
- Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service
- Demonstrate depth of knowledge in a relevant technical specialty
