We seek an Accounts Payable Clerk for an initial 6-month contract based in Leicester.

THE COMPANY:

Caterpillar Building Construction Products (BCP) is located in Desford (Leicestershire). This site is dedicated to the assembly of small construction machines, typically used on building and construction sites. These include Backhoe Loaders, Small Wheel Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders.

THE ROLE:

As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for resolving issues by selecting the best solution from a few choices for reoccurring problems. You will influence the way work is performed to meet quality goals. You will develop documentation necessary for quality certification. You will also be in a position to demonstrate excellent analytical skills, computer skills and the ability to work with management at all levels. Exercises minimal independent judgment with direction from supervisor.

You will have responsibility for Accounts Payable plus:
- Payment of Supplier Accounts.
- General Ledger
- Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Completion of Cash Books and Bank Reconciliations.
- Inter-company Balance Reporting and Reconciliations.
- Petty Cash Control.
- Calculation of realised and unrealised foreign exchange gain or loss.

THE PERSON:

Applicants must be familiar with an office environment, have general clerical experience as well as be PC literate.
