REQUIREMENTS:

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies and procedures so materials and services are procured promptly, to cost and quality standards, accommodating flexibility to meet the projection business growth expectations.
Support new product development, ensuring that supply chain construct meets the technical demands at minim mum cost and project risk.
Deliver and maintain pricing models commensurate with product delivery strategies and commitments.

DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a leading clean power systems company. Their proprietary clean fuel and clean power technologies provide solutions to the difficult environmental and energy supply challenges being faced by governments and industry.

• Develop and implement specific procurement strategies for each project and spend category.
• Develop the supply chain to meet the evolving capability requirements of the business, actively understanding supplier production capability and capacity levels.
• Develop and implement Make v Buy strategies appropriate to the business.
• Negotiate supplier agreements ensuring that the business gets value for money from the supply chain.
• Develop and maintain pricing models which accurately forecast growing volume product cost projections.
• Expedite the supply chain to ensure delivery on time and to the requisite quality standards.
• Work closely with the Quality Department in the management and development of the Approved Supplier List and the monitoring of supplier performance.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Design to ensure optimum product development, incorporating low risk and cost solutions from the supply chain.
• Assist in the running of Materials Resource Planning.

Qualifications:
Educated to degree level in related field
CIPS or MCIPS
