Chassis "Prototype to Build 1" Project Engineer

The Chassis department are being required to support and increasing number of prototype vehicles. The role will require the candidate to take a prototype vehicle requirement, co-ordination and plan the resource requirements, create a working budget, seek financial approval, Bill of Materials creation and maintenance, oversee the component design and deliver the technical components to the build. There will be cross functional working with all Chassis and Prototype build areas.

Skills Required:
The candidate must be organised and capable of working on multiple programmes with multiple teams. They must be able to create and deliver on accurate work plans. Create and maintain Bill of Material lists. Budget and resource management. They will need to be able to effectively communicate and represent the Chassis department in prototype build meetings and programme reviews.

Experience Required:
An automotive or mechanical engineering background. A working knowledge of Chassis components is required.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of prototype component manufacture. Knowledge of OEM systems.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.
