Engine Simulation Analysis Engineer

The analysis engineer is responsible for the delivery of 1D simulations to support PT Research and Technology projects. They will be the lead for generating boundary conditions/models to support analysis of future technology concepts. The analysis engineer will support the project lead liaising with PT cross functional teams including the core PT analysis team to deliver required simulation results to agreed plans.

Skills Required:
Self driven with a strong engineering background the analysis engineer will have detailed experience of engine 1D simulation tools (WAVE/GT Power/Simulink) and strong team working skills.

Skills Preferred:
Experience with additional cooling/driveline/acoustic 1D analysis tools desirable. Working knowledge of development processes/principles (GTDS and/or GPDS). Excellent PC skills, Excel, Word and Project. Working knowledge of Diesel and/or Gasoline engine/Powertrain systems and calibration. Disciplined approach to planning, prioritisation and evidence generation. Good communication skill"s. Must have driving licence valid for use in the UK.

Experience Required:
Demonstrate the ability to lead development of 1D analysis models within a team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Experience Preferred:
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are considered desirable. A knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive industry, including competitor and market trends would be beneficial.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience.
