Client Information
My client is part of a leading Multi-National Manufacturing company. The company has an established reputation as a supplier of high integrity products across it's sectors. They specialise in products for a variety of industry including aerospace, defence and energy markets

Main Duties
Will be responsible for determining demand, maintaining system data integrity and management of ordering and expediting activities in support of non-production requirements.
Will manage relationships with all suppliers, including resolving any day to day issues and support wider supply chain performance objectives


Job description
-Ensure scheduling timely deliveries from appropriate sources of supply for non-production related products and services whilst satisfying business requirements
-Manage supplier relationships to increase highly efficient performance and maintain professional working relationships internally and externally with suppliers
-Drive supplier performance and work with suppliers to improve performance and agree appropriate actions and improvement plans
-Develop methods of supply to ensure products and services are delivered in timely manner to point of use
-Work with the Strategic Procurement teams to optimise total cost of acquisition and support strategic development of our Supply Chain
-Administer purchasing requisitions, requests for quotation, purchase orders and expediting activity to ensure timely delivery of products and services at desired quality levels.


Key skills and experience
-Previous experience in Procurement/Supply Chain role
-Experience of managing supply within an Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry
-Good negotiating and influencing skills
-Candidates should have strong problem solving skills
-Ideally CIPS qualified or US equivalent or working towards qualification
-Computer literacy including competence in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Word and appropriate ERP Systems
