Our Client is a World Leader in the innovation, Design and Manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection Equipment and are now looking for a Product and Test Development Engineer to work on either a permanent or contract basis.
Reporting to the Advanced Development Manager the product and test development engineer will primarily be required to develop test and analysis methods to aid characterization of advanced prototype products.
Providing technical competence in the following fields :-
Mechanical systems
Electrical / electronic systems
Rig control application
Instrumentation
Utilizing Labview to control, acquire and present test data in the most appropriate way to enable rapid development of prototype product.
Adapting test rig or product in order to allow experimental testing.
Identify and develop signal processing and analysis algorithms for test rig data.
Strong fundamental mechanical skills (fluid dynamics, mechanics).
Good understanding of HDB product development and analysis techniques.
Providing technical reports on delivered solutions
Diagnosing failing product to component level
Support component development engineers
Ensure adherence to quality control standards, QS900, ISO1400 and TS16949.
Contribute and participate in Total Quality activity to promote an environment of continuous improvement.
Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent. Ideally with work experience in a relevant engineering environment. A genuine interest and enjoyment in engineering and resolving technical problems. Able to demonstrate excellent presentation, communication and inter-personal skills. Strong learning skills.
